Why Your Nutrition Coach's Size Doesn't Matter (And What Actually Does)
When someone basically suggested a person couldn't be an effective nutrition consultant or health coach because they are "skinny", it made me reflect on a deeper truth...
Authentic wellness guidance isn't about your coach's appearance - it's about their understanding, approach, and ability to meet you where you are.
What was the comment? “They don't need some skinny b!tch that never struggles telling them what to do.”
Here’s me… A Functional Nutrition Consultant who is “skinny” and never been overweight; so that comment to another Nutrition Coach who was struggling with her weight gain in peri-menopause and feeling like a fraud also saw my imposter syndrome come into play.

You're guided and supported through changes that help you to achieve your health goals, addressing areas you may need help like:
We’re your accountability partner; guiding and supporting you to define and achieve your desired result.
You define your idea of “optimal” wellness as it applies to your life.
We don’t tell you what you “should” eat or drink. It’s always your choice.
We will refer out to other practitioners where required.
Whilst I understand that losing weight is important to some people, my approach is to focus on holistic health and ageing well; rather than just the “weight”. Functional nutrition aims to promote overall well-being and vitality - and that can include weight management. It looks at more than just food.
Having a healthy awareness, curiosity and experimenting: seeing other perspectives. Not obsessing.
